NASRETTİN HOCA-KAZAN DOĞURDU

Nasrettin Hoca, bir gün komşusundan bir kazan istemiş. İki gün sonra, kazanın içine bir tencere koymuş ve komşusunun evine gitmiş. Komşusuna, "Kazan için çok teşekkür ederim. Kazanını getirdim." demiş.
Komşusu, "Bu kazan benim kazanım ama bu tencereyi niçin getirdin?" diye sormuş.
Nasrettin Hoca, "Senin kazanın hamileymiş. Bizim evde doğurdu." diye cevap vermiş. Komşusu çok sevinmiş.

Bir ay sonra Hoca tekrar komşusundan kazan istemiş. Komşusu kazanı hemen vermiş. Çünkü "Hoca bana bir tencere daha verecek." diye düşünmüş. Günler, haftalar, aylar geçmiş ama Hoca kazanı geri götürmemiş. Komşusu merak edip Hoca’nın evine gitmiş.
"Hocam, benim kazanıma ne oldu? Niçin geri vermiyorsun?" diye sormuş.
Hoca, komşusuna üzgün üzgün bakmış ve "Başın sağ olsun. Senin kazanın öldü." demiş.

Komşusu çok sinirlenmiş ve Hoca’ya "Hocam, sen ne söylüyorsun? Kazan ölür mü? Kazan canlı değil ki!" diye bağırmış.
O zaman Hoca, komşusuna şunları söylemiş:

Daha önce "Senin kazanın doğurdu." dedim ve sen buna inandın. Şimdi, "Senin kazanın
öldü." diyorum, niçin inanmıyorsun?


One day, Nasreddin Hodja asked his neighbor for a cauldron. Two days later, he put a pot in the cauldron and went to his neighbor's house. He said to his neighbor, "Thank you very much for the cauldron. I brought your cauldron." His neighbor asked, "This cauldron is my cauldron, but why did you bring this pot?" 
Nasreddin Hodja replied, "Your cauldron is pregnant. She gave birth at our house." His neighbor was very happy.  
A month later, Hodja asked his neighbor for a cauldron again. His neighbor gave the cauldron immediately. Because he thought, "Hodja will give me another pot." Days, weeks, months passed, but Hodja did not take the cauldron back. His neighbor got curious and went to Hodja's house.  "Hodja, what happened to my cauldron? Why don't you return it?" he asked.  Hodja looked at his neighbor sadly and said, "My condolences. Your cauldron is dead."  His neighbor got very angry and shouted at Hodja, "Hodja, what are you saying? Can a cauldron die? It's not alive!" Then Hodja said the following to his neighbor: 
Before, I said, "Your cauldron gave birth," and you believed it. Now, I say, "Your cauldron died," why don't you believe it?

Nasreddin Hodja took a whistle out of his pocket and handed it to the child who had given him money. The others started shouting: — Where are our whistles? Nasreddin Hodja replied shortly and wisely: — The one who pays, plays the whistle.
